This morning General Motors unwrapped the new 2014 GMC Sierra Denali edition along with the specs on the new 6.2L V-8 engine. The new 6.2L engine will be the largest of the three new engines offed for the redesigned 2014 Sierra and Silverado. GM states that this new engine will produce and estimated 420 horsepower and 450 pounds-feet of torque. This is up from the largest engine GM currently offers on 2013 models as well has the highest of any light-duty pickup truck currently on the market. Prices for the new Denali, as well as official horsepower, torque, and fuel economy ratings for the 6.2 liter engine, will be announced at a later date according to GM.
The new Silverado and Sierra’s should be arriving at dealerships this week or next week with the smaller engine that GM is offering. The Denali, as well as models with other engine sizes, are expected to be available sometime this fall.
